Brick Brushes for Photoshop by Ruunin

A selection of Photoshop brushes to quickly paint various types of bricks. Great for sketches, studies, concepts, generating texture, etc.

I initially made these for personal use but I've decided to make them available to you. It's been a tough year for many people, so you can download them for free. If you wish to support me, you may choose a custom payment amount or refer your friends to my Twitter (@RuuninArt) :)

Included brushes:

• Bricks Modern (for tidy rows of bricks)
• Bricks Rough (for weathered or loosely arranged bricks)
• Bricks Shattered (for irregularly shaped stones)
• Marble (for marble bricks)
• Mosaic (small irregular stones to paint mosaics with)
• Column section (for grooved stone pillars)

Usage tips:

• It is recommended to watch the video for example usage
• Choose a suitable background color (e.g. matching the cement)
• Hold shift while making brush strokes for straight rows
• Brush settings allow you to vary the color and textures
• Use transform -> distort to place the bricks in perspective
• Before transforming, it can be useful to make a smart object out of the layer so you can re-transform then without losing quality.

About support:

• The brush files are provided as-is, I can't promise I'll be available to provide support.
• Brushes are tested in Adobe Photoshop 2020 and 2021. Older versions may work but I haven't tested these.
• Brushes are likely incompatible with Clip Studio Paint and other software due to heavy usage of PS brush engine features.

If something looks wrong:

• Ensure that 'pressure for size' is disabled
• Ensure that brush settings are unlocked before selecting the preset
